New Inpro Leakage Detector Device

Madrid 15/05/02

The new leakage detector device developed by INPRO is a safety and control circuit that combines simplicity and effectiveness.

A leakage detector is a safety device because it detects oil spills that the installation could produce. It is also a control device because once a loss is detected, it can simply warn with an acoustic signal or luminous, or, it can disengage one electro valve that assures the stop of oil feeding, avoiding therefore causing more damages in the installation.

This circuit use a probe of infrared light to detect the possible spill of oil that could happen in the plants where it is installed. This probe is provided normally with a 1 m length cable, but higher sizes are available.

As well, it is equipped with an relay exit, which is used to control any type of device, for example a higher power siren of or a greater luminous indicator.

Making a electro valve cut when the oil spill is detected, or the activation of an acoustic alarm are two short examples of it's applications. As well the normally closed relay allows having one (or several) device(s) in normal state of operation, and other (or several) device(s) in case of alarm activation, using for this purpose the contact normally opened.

As the relay are free, not only 230 V a.c. devices can be connected, but other potential voltage can be monitored whenever the maximum allowed voltage is not exceeded (230 V a.c.).

His small dimensions, 10 cm in length, 4.5 cm wide, 3.5 cm of high, and a weight of 160 g, allow easy and without problems implementing.

Highlights among his electrical characteristics are: The maximum consumption of 120 mA, maximal relay intensity of 10 A, visual alarm (LED 5mm) and acoustic alarm (buzzing).
